JULES CORDRY GASPARD

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2016, during a 10:45 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Baldwin for Mr. Jules Cordry Gaspard, a native of Forked Island, longtime former resident of Sorrell, and a three year resident of Basile, who passed away at the age of 81 on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at 6:18 p.m., at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday at the church from 9 a.m. until time of service. He will be laid to rest with his wife in the Sacred Heart Cemetery Mausoleum. Father Cedric Sonnier will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services.
Survivors include his two sons, Randy Gaspard and his wife, Sally of Franklin; and Elva Gaspard of Lead Hill, AR; his two daughters, Vickie G. Goucher of El Dorado, KS; and Wendy G. Patterson and her husband, David of Queen City, TX; two brothers, Sanders and Wilman Gaspard; one sister, Delta White; 10 grandchildren, Regina, Julie, Karen, Chasity, Heather, Brandon, Brett, Jeremy, Glenn and Landon; numerous great grandchildren; and numerous great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Dartez Gaspard; his parents, Deussard Gaspard and Aline Primeaux Gaspard; two brothers, Dalton and Collins Gaspard; one son-in-law, Lynn Goucher; and one great grandson, Damieon Gaspard.
