LAWLESS GIBSON JR.

The Rev. Lawless Gibson Jr., 76, a native and a resident of Gibson, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at 4:55 p.m. Friday, Jan. 1, 2016.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time at noon on Saturda at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, 4928 North Bayou Black Drive, Gibson, with burial to follow in the St. James Baptist Church Cemetery.
He is survived by three sons, Lawless Conrad Gibson III, Cyrus Valen Gibson, and John Fitzgerald Gibson; six daughters, Hazel Denise Gibson, Quanda Sherell Gibson, Gail Quintell Gibson, Kema Lazette Evans, Melanie Gibson, and Yvette Turner of Morgan City; five sisters, Eloise Cannon, Mary and Barbara Gibson, Ella Banks, and Carolyn Peterson; seven brothers, Lloyd, Sterling, Louis, Clyde, Paul and Robert Gibson, and Leonard Celestine; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Micheal Gibson; his parents, Lawless Sr. and Hazel Coleman-Gibson; and a brother, Darryl Gibson.
