LEO DELAUNE

Leo Delaune, a lifelong resident of Morgan City, passed away Sept. 14, 2015, at his residence at the age of 54.
Leo loved anything to do with sports. He was a coach for many local teams, including the Morgan City High bowling team, Central Catholic bowling team and the UL bowling team. He also coached Little League baseball, football and soccer. Leo was a multitalented man who was a wonderful provider for his family, working a number of jobs in the Louisiana oil fields and Charlie’s Lanes for a number of years. Leo will be sadly missed by all who loved this great man.
Leo leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife of 32 years, Karan Delaune of Morgan City; sons, Brandon and Chandler Delaune of Lafayette; father, D.D. Delaune of Baton Rouge; mother, Beryl Rodriguez of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; father- and mother-in-law, Edwin and Joyce Gaudet; sister-in-law, Megan Burbante of Patterson; sisters, Toni Jones of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Kaadee Bohler of Tyler, Texas; and brothers, Josh Trahan of Shreveport and Peter Delaune of Baton Rouge.
The visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, at Hargrave Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday, Sept. 18, 2015, at 9 a.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home with services at 2 p.m. Leo will be laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery.
