MARIE FERGUSON
Mrs. Marie Ferguson, 67, a resident of Sorrell and native of Bayou Sale, died Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Lafayette General Medical Center following a short illness.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, April 9, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Magnolia Baptist Church, 102 Dixie Rd. in Franklin.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at the church, with the Rev. Wilson Ferguson Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Sorrell Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Wilson Ferguson Sr. of Sorrell; one son, Rev. Wilson Ferguson Jr. (his wife, Monica) of Sorrell; one daughter, Miss Gaynel Marie Ferguson of Sorrell; two brothers, Clyde Johnson and Carlton Johnson, both of Franklin; four sisters, Mrs. Beonita Parker (her husband, Charles), Miss Eloise Johnson and Miss Carmela Johnson, all of Centerville, and Miss Paula Johnson of New Iberia; and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by her parents, one stepfather and two sisters.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
