MIECHEA JONES

A Homegoing Celebration will be held for Miechea Jones on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at 11 a.m., at St. Peter United Methodist Church in Jeanerette, with the Rev. Francis Davis, officiating. Interment will follow at Beau Pre’ Memorial Park, 7605 East Old Spanish Trail, in Jeanerette.
A gathering of family and friends will begin Saturday, February 6, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at St. Peter UMC.
Miechea Jones, a native of Jeanerette and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away at her residence on Thursday, January 28, 2016 following a brief illness. She was 42 years old.
Miechea leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Nicotia Adonte’ Jones and Mya Aanjanae Jones-Rudolph; one stepson, Jalen Rudolph; and her significant other, Miles Rudolph all of Baton Rouge; her father, Carl Jones of Houston, TX; two sisters, Shalori George of Breaux Bridge and Latasha (Nikki) Jones of Houston, TX; two nieces, Chyna and Malaysia George; one nephew, Khaymen George, all of Breaux Bridge; three aunts, Barbara Henderson of Houston TX, Angelnetta Moni (Percy) Williams of New Iberia, and Dayna Loston of Houston, TX; two uncles, Stafford (Shelia) Clay of Killeen, TX, and Leo Pumpkin (Troyetta) Loston Jr. of New Iberia; two godchildren, Tahji E. Hopkins and Samuwan Robinson; and a host of additional family members and friends whom all loved her dearly.
Miechea was preceded in death by her mother, Mac Willis George; maternal grandparents, Celestine and Leo Loston Sr.; and an uncle, Sylvester Wright Jr.
Arrangements are under the direction of MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin.
