MRS. BESSIE MAE TOUSSAINT

Mrs. Bessie Mae Toussaint, 80, a resident of Charenton and native of Sorrell, passed away Friday, August 5, 2016, at 11:25 a.m., at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City following a short illness.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, Aug. 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at St. Moses Baptist Church in Jeanerette.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 2 p.m., at the church, with the Rev. B.K. Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Sorrell Community Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Mr. Raphael Toussaint of Charenton; two sons, Michael Ray Toussaint (his wife, Beverly) of New Iberia and Stepphone Ondray Toussaint of Charenton; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Hall of Port Arthur, TX and Mrs. Eunice Rose of Houston, TX; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Mrs. Toussaint was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, one sister, one son and one daughter.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
