ROLAND J. ESTAY SR.

Roland J. Estay Sr., 88, passed away Saturday in the Morgan City Healthcare Center.
He was a retired boat captain and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Mr. Estay is survived by his sons, Roland Estay Jr. of Bayou L’Ourse, Kline Estay of Bayou L’Ourse, and stepson, Dale Johnson of Illinois; two daughters, Tara Estay of Bayou L’Ourse and Tanya Acosta of Bayou L’Ourse; two sisters, Gail (Momma G) Friedman of Morgan City and Delores Diamond of Raceland; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emmette Estay; his parents, Gilbert and Marguerite; and eight siblings.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Hargrave Funeral Home Chapel in Morgan City. Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016, from 5 to 9 p.m. and from 8 a.m. on Wednesday until time of service.
