VERNA MARIE WALKER

Verna Marie Walker, 56, a resident of Morgan City and native of New Orleans, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2016, at Morgan City Health Care, at 10:27 p.m.
Visitation will be observed Thursday, Jan. 21 at the Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City, from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 10 a.m. Evangelist Debra Taylor will officiate the services.
Memories of Verna will forever remain in the hearts of her three daughters, Tameka Walker-Huntley (Isaac) of Morgan City; Chenell Walker of Houston, TX and Claveyion Montgomery of Chalmette, LA; four brothers, Clarence Walker Jr., Gregory Walker (Andrea) and Joseph Walker, all of New Orleans; and Edward Thomas of Los Vegas, NV; one sister, Sandra Wright of New Orleans; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a host of other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Verna was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson and one sister.
