The Atchafalaya Golf Association conducted itsr season-ending Ryder Cup Matches on Sept. 18. Players earned points by competing in events all year to qualify. Twenty-four player (12 per team) competed. Twenty-two of the players were chocen by point totales, while the remaining two were selected by team captains. Captains were the top two point earners. Gary Stansbury's team defeated Gippy LaCoste's team 29-25. The AGA event is modeled after the Ryder Cup Matches played every two years between the United States and Europe.
