Class A: first place, Dudley Michel of Bayou Vista, 5-1, 51.3 percent; second place, Pat Pertuit of Marrero, 4-2, 52.5 percent; third place, Tim Gilmore of Bayou Vista, 3-2, 47.0 percent.
Michel defeated Pertuit in a 40-shoe playoff game after being tied up in regulation. The win gave Michel the Class A and Tournament Champion titles.
Class B: first, Kevin Dore’ of Patterson, 5-1, 36.3; second, Jimmy Percle of Morgan City, 4-2, 36.3; third, Bill Seither, Buras, 3-2, 25.0.
After regulation, Percle and Dore’ were tied up. Dore’ defeated Percle in a 40-shoe playoff game to claim the class title.
Class C: first, A.J. Duplantier of Harahan, 5-0, 30.5; second, Ryan Fryou of Berwick, 4-1, 24.5; third, Julius Lovell of Bayou L’Ourse, 2-3, 10.00.
Class D: first, Hilton Rhodes of Bayou Vista, 5.5-1.5, 5.0; second, Greg Smith of Lake Charles, 5-2, 10.4; third, Mike Fonseca of Harahan, 5-2, 8.3.
This was Rhodes first tournament and with the win was named class champion.
