Horseshoe league organization rescheduled
Due to the extreme weather conditions, the Bayou Horseshoe Pitchers did not organize their Spring League.
The league organization has been re scheduled for Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. under the pavilion by the horseshoe pits at Kemper Williams Park near Patterson.
League play, which is count all and handicap, will begin March 24.
Amelia baseball/T-ball registration ends today
Baseball and T-ball registration is being held in Amelia through today.
Participates can sign up at the Amelia Recreation Center.
The different leagues are:
—Boys’ and girls’ T-Ball (ages 4-6).
—Boys’ Pitching Machine (ages 7-8).
—Boys’ baseball (9-10).
—Boys’ baseball (11-12).
—Boys’ baseball (13-15).
Assistants and volunteers are needed, too.
Also, a free coaching clinic set for today and Saturday has been rained out. No makeup date has been set.
Softball league registration set
Berwick/Bayou Vista Softball League registration will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Berwick Civic Complex.
The last day to register will be Thursday.
MCRD holding spring sports registrations
The Morgan City Recreation Department is taking applications for its 2015 season for T-ball, baseball and softball.
To participate in the appropriate leagues, participants must be ages 5-12 on or before May 1 of the current year.
To register, provide a copy of the child’s birth certificate and player registration fee of $40.
Applications will be accepted at the recreation department Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office will be closed daily from 12:30 p.m. 1:30 p.m.
The recreation office is located at 915 Everett St.
