The January Employees of the Month were presented during the St. Mary Parish School Board meeting Thursday.
Several items that need the attention of the St. Mary Parish School Board are on hold because the state has yet to set guidelines in those areas, the parish superintendent said.
The St. Mary Parish School Board meets at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Central Office Complex in Centerville.
Amy Vaccarella, a computer literacy teacher at Berwick Junior High, was named the Region 3 Middle School Teacher of the Year by the Louisiana Association of Computer Using Educators.
Local public schools that attained an A or B school performance score from the Louisiana Department of Education in 2013 were presented with plaques in recognition of the accomplishment.
