No. 12 Berwick High School will hit the road today to face No. 5 Rayne in the regional round of the Division III volleyball playoffs. Morgan City High School hosted Berwick in its annual “Paint the Pink” game Tuesday. Berwick topped Morgan City 3-2 (25-16, 15-25, 25-14, 20-25, 15-12) in the five-set marathon. At the Paint the Pit Pink game, monies also were raised for local patients who are suffering from cancer. Both teams also had honorary servers for the game. Pink Marathon

The Morgan City Lady Tigers took the Berwick Lady Panthers to five games and tried to stage a late-game rally in the final set, but Berwick prevailed 3-2 (25-16, 15-25, 25-14, 20-25, 15-12).

CCHS uses big innings to top Berwick, 13-5

Central Catholic capped its regular season with a 13-5 victory against Berwick in softball action Wednesday.
Central Catholic never trailed taking a 6-0 lead after two innings.
