The Morgan City Lady Tigers dropped their first District 7-4A contest of the season to Vandebilt Catholic, 45-32, Friday.
Morgan City High School used a big fourth quarter to defeat Patterson High, 48-35, Monday.
Morgan City High School hosted Berwick in its annual “Paint the Pink” game Tuesday. Berwick topped Morgan City 3-2 (25-16, 15-25, 25-14, 20-25, 15-12) in the five-set marathon. At the Paint the Pit Pink game, monies also were raised for local patients who are suffering from cancer. Both teams also had honorary servers for the game. The Morgan City Lady Tigers took the Berwick Lady Panthers to five games and tried to stage a late-game rally in the final set, but Berwick prevailed 3-2 (25-16, 15-25, 25-14, 20-25, 15-12).
