Letter: SMIG supports decision on school consolidation

On behalf of the membership of the St. Mary Industrial Group, the board of directors would like to thank Superintendent Armato, and the school board members for beginning the difficult process of consolidation. SMIG stands with, and fully supports the school board as it begins to “right-size” the number of school properties in our parish.
Education is about the students, not the buildings.
Thank you for choosing to make the first steps needed to consolidate the school system in St. Mary Parish.
