A 22-year-old Jeanerette man has been identified as a suspect in the shooting death of a 32-year-old Four Corners man in Four Corners last week, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
Henderson Wesley, 22, of the 11400 block of Old Jeanerette Road in Jeanerette, is wanted on a warrant for second degree murder in connection to the death of Ronald Chillis Jr., 32, of Four Corners, that occurred Oct. 8 in the Four Corners area.
Wesley is described as a 6-foot-2-inch, 160-pound black male and was last seen driving a white Dodge Charger, Hebert said. He is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached, the sheriff said.

Wesley is the second suspect identified in connection to the shooting. Anthony Jamal Loston, 24, of the 6200 block of Myers Street in Jeanerette, was identified as a person who was present during and connected to the murder of Chillis, Hebert said. Detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest on the charge of principal to second degree murder.
On Thursday, Loston surrendered to Jeanerette city marshals and was subsequently arrested at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office at 10:41 a.m., Hebert said. Detectives transported Loston to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City to continue the investigation, the sheriff said.
At 3:41 p.m. on Oct. 8, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of a shooting at a residence on Ronald Lane in Four Corners. Upon arrival, the responding deputy located a man who appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, Hebert said.
Emergency medical personnel also responded and transported Chillis to Franklin Foundation Hospital for treatment. Chillis, was pronounced dead at the hospital, Hebert said.
Morgan City Police Chief Michael Banks reported the following arrests:
—Francisco J. Gonzales, 40, of Federal Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:06 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant for simple battery domestic violence and a warrant for disturbing the peace intoxicated.
Officers located Gonzales on Victor II Boulevard and placed him under arrest on an outstanding warrant for the City Court of Morgan City. He was jailed in Morgan City.
—Ashton Howard, 21, of Apple Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:33 p.m. Tuesday for theft under $750.
—Michael D. Ruffin Sr., 43, of Poncio Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:57 p.m. Tuesday for simple battery.
Officers were dispatched to a La. 182 location regarding a cell phone theft. While investigating, officers identified Howard as the suspect who had committed the theft of a cell phone and approximately $200. Howard was located and the phone was recovered.
Also during the investigation, officers learned that Michael Ruffin Sr. had allegedly committed a battery on another person prior to officers’ arrival.
Both were transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were jailed. Ruffin was released after posting a cash bond.
—Charles B. Doby, 40, of Park Street in Patterson, was arrested at 11:34 p.m. Tuesday for speeding 47/35 mph and driving under suspension.
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle speeding 47 mph in a 35 mph zone on La. 182 and stopped the vehicle to investigate. The driver, Doby, was found to be operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was jailed and subsequently released after posting a cash bond.
—Ashley M. Dowdy, 28, of Brashear Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 12:58 a.m. today on a warrant for Terrebonne Parish for failure to use seat belt and on a Houma Police Department warrant for speeding.
—Alton W. Mizell, 51, of Brashear Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 1:10 a.m. today on a Terrebonne Parish warrant for improper lane use.
Officers were dispatched to a Brashear Avenue location to locate a person wanted on outstanding warrants. Both Dowdy and Mizell were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were jailed.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 37 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Keith Bourgeois, 23, of the 600 block of Seventh Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 5:41 p.m. Monday on warrants for cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
At about 5:40 p.m. Monday, narcotics detectives traveled to a residence in the 600 block of Seventh Street in Morgan City where contact was made with Bourgeois. He was jailed.
—Kaveshia Johnson, 17, of the 600 block of Grove Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 3:36 p.m. Tuesday for possession of marijuana.
At about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, narcotics detectives received information of a blue Chevrolet Impala with a Texas license plate driving around a local business suspiciously. Detectives then traveled to the area and observed the vehicle in the parking lot.
Detective made contact with the occupants of the vehicle and the back seat passenger, Johnson. While speaking with Johnson, detectives received consent to search her purse. Detectives then located a marijuana cigarette in a pouch inside the purse. Johnson was placed under arrest, and later released on a summons to appear in court.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrest:
—Renee Watts, 37, of Irish Bend Road in Franklin, was arrested at 4:37 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for the Morgan City Police Department on the charge of simple battery. Watts was transported to the Morgan City Police Department.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
