St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
—Tremaine J. Francois, 22, of the 300 block of Egle Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:30 p.m. Thursday for possession of a Schedule II (liquid hydrocodone) drug.
A deputy responded to a single vehicle crash on La. 182 near James Street in Siracusaville. During the investigation of the crash, the deputy learned from a witness that the driver of the vehicle, identified as Francois, was seen throwing a bottle into the nearby grass. The container was retrieved. The deputy determined that the solution inside was liquid hydrocodone. Francois was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail is set.
—Luis Enrique Hernandez-Leon, 18, of the 100 block of West Syls Lane in Amelia, was arrested at 12:20 a.m. today for disturbing the peace. Deputies responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence on Odile Street in Amelia. During the investigation, deputies learned that Hernandez-Leon was playing loud music. He was released on a summons to appear in court Jan. 10.
—David Brown, 42, of the 100 block of Todd Street in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 12:20 a.m. today on a warrant from Thibodaux Police Department for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension and failure to use a turn signal. Deputies responding to an alarm at a business on Southeast Boulevard located Brown walking in the area and stopped to speak with him. While talking with Brown, deputies learned that he held an active warrant from Thibodeaux Police. Brown was taken to the parish jail and held. He was released on a summons to appear in Thibodaux City Court.
Morgan City Police Chief Travis Crouch reported the following arrests:
—Mario Tejera, 29, of Roselawn Drive in Morgan City, was arrested at 5:05 p.m. Thursday for violation of a protective order, unauthorized entry into an inhabited dwelling
Police were summoned to a Roselawn Drive address regarding a person who was violating a protective order.
Officers arrived and were advised by the complainant that Tejera had forced entry into her residence and had fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.
Tejera was arrested Oct. 1 and charged with domestic abuse battery, false imprisonment and damage to property. The victim in that case had secured a protective order against Tejera. Officers searched the area and learned that Tejera was inside a nearby home.
As officers attempted to locate Tejera, he fled from the rear door of the residence and was captured, Crouch said. He was taken to the Morgan City Police Department where he remains with no bail set.
—Brian Anthony Alexie, 29, of Lafitte, was arrested at 8:23 p.m. Thursday for simple burglary.
Officers were dispatched to a construction site located on Martin Luther King Drive near U.S. 90 in regard to someone trespassing.
Officers arrived and located Alexie on the construction site. It was learned in the investigation that Alexie had entered a trailer on the site where he took a shower and removed food items from inside the trailer, Crouch said. Alexie was taken to the Morgan City Police Department and held with no bail set yet.
—Shane Scott, 30, of Brashear Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 1:16 p.m. Wednesday on warrants for failure to pay a fine for no driver’s license and no insurance, and contempt of court.
An officer patrolling the La. 182 area near Wyandotte detained a vehicle and its driver for a traffic violation.
During the stop, a passenger inside the vehicle, Shane Scott was found to be wanted for outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department. Scott was taken to the Morgan City Jail and held.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
—Angelo Giandelone, 31, of Cotton Road in Patterson, was arrested at 8:50 p.m. Thursday on River Road in Berwick for disturbing the peace. Giandelone was released on $160 bail.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
