Patterson upset the Erath Bobcats, 45-35, Friday, handing Erath and the state’s leading rusher, Elijah Mitchell, their first district loss this season.

If there’s anyone that Patterson High School knows about entering Friday’s District 8-3A contest at Erath Friday, it’s the teenager in the backfield who will be getting most of the carries.

The unbeaten Berwick Panthers are bracing for a rugged District 8-3A matchup at Erath Friday.
Berwick (4-0, 1-0) used a last-minute drive to beat Franklin, 20-14, last week.
