Patterson Garden Club finalizes district meeting plans

The Louisiana Garden Club Federation District 3 meeting was the main topic of the Patterson Garden Club meeting held Oct. 8 at the home of Iris Roy. Co-hostesses for the meeting were Sandra Underwood and Evelyn Estay.
Final preparations for the District 3 meeting, set Tuesday at the Petroleum Club in Morgan City, were made.
Plans were also made for a visit to St. Mary Center of Hope in Centerville for Oct. 31 to bring treats. Members also discussed the Blue Star Marker ceremony to honor veterans that is set Nov. 8 at Patterson City Hall.
Noted were updates on the planter boxes at Hattie Watts Elementary that the club donated to Evelyn Ortiz for a project to promote gardening and healthy food for the students.
