Lightning strikes

A bolt of lighting strikes Wednesday in the Patterson area. The Natonal Weather Service forecast gives the Tri-City area a 50 percent chance of more thunderstorms today, possibly providing a break from the expected 98-degree heat. A 20- to 30-percent chance of rain will persist throughout the rest of the week as the high temperature slips back below 95 degrees.
