Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser will visit Morgan City on Tuesday as part of a statewide expedition celebrating National Tourism Week, according to a news release.
A Patterson police officer was cited for careless operation after his police vehicle struck three parked cars and caused damage to a Morgan City lounge, police said.

A 40-year-old Morgan City man was booked Friday on an aggravated battery war-rant stemming from a Feb. 12 incident, Morgan City Police Chief James Blair said in a news release.
Storms that dumped about 3 inches of rain on the Tri-City area caused a few streets to flood Saturday, and wind caused one tree to fall across a roadway in Patterson.
