The Central Catholic Lady Eagles finished their 2015 softball season on top of the Class 1A playing field with a state title.

Central Catholic placed four members of its softball team on the All-District 7-1A team and shared the Most Valuable Player and Coach of the Year award.
Winning pitcher Megan Landry, center, of the Central Catholic High School Lady Eagles shows her excitement Saturday evening after striking out the last batter to clinch the Class 1A state championship. The Lady Eagles defeated defending state champs Cedar Creek 6-4 at the Louisiana High School Athletic Association State Championship Tournament in Sulphur. They defeated Ascension Catholic on Friday and Catholic High-Pointe Coupee earlier Saturday, both close games ended with a score of 1-0. Landry had complete games in each of the contests.
