Morgan City’s 11-year-old All-Stars will begin Louisiana Dixie Youth Majors State Tournament bracket play Friday at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Morgan City will compete in a four-team bracket Friday and Saturday. The winner of Morgan City’s Bracket, Bracket B, will face the winner of Bracket A in a championship game Sunday. The Morgan City 11-year-old All-Stars won the District 3 title Saturday with a 21-16 victory against Thibodaux. While Morgan City had lost the first game in the best-of-three series, they came back with two straight wins to clinch the title and advance to the state tournament in Monroe this coming weekend.
