Juanita LaCoste Ganaway
February 19, 1943 — October 10, 2014
Juanita LaCoste Ganaway, 71, a native of Houma and resident of Spring, Texas, passed away on Friday, Oct. 10, 2014, in Conroe, Texas.
She enjoyed doing things for her family and their friends. She made some incredibly creative cakes for all of us that we will always remember. Juanita was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was an amazing matriarch to our family. She will be dearly missed by all.
Juanita is survived by her two sons, Gordon Ganaway and wife, Lynette, of Spring, Texas, and Scott Ganaway and wife, Melanie, of The Woodlands, Texas; three daughters, Darlene Ganaway and companion, Raymond Breaux, of Schriever, Juanita Faith Folse and husband, Eban, of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Angelina Matthews and husband, John Pat, of San Antonio, Texas; one foster daughter, Terri Box and husband, Jeremy, of Luling; eight grandchildren, Kellie Williams, Candice Ganaway, Riplee Ganaway, Daniel Robichaux, Jacob Ganaway, Mariella Matthews, Joshua Matthews and Julianna Matthews; six great-grandchildren, Lexie Williams, Trinitie Williams, Austin Ganaway, Brett Doucet, Terra Doucet and Madison Doucet; three brothers, Jerry LaCoste, Paul LaCoste and Gippy LaCoste; six sisters, Maria Sheehan, Marilyn Pye, Judy Crochet, Yvette Manley, Yvonne Parsons and Mona Verret; life-long love and friend, Huey Paul Ganaway; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Juanita was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Paul and Aganolia LaCoste Sr.; mother and stepfather, Mayola and Paul Angrisano Sr.; foster parents, Manuel and Josephine LaCoste; two foster sisters, Grazilia Rink and Roseilia Theriot: one brother, Paul Angrisano Jr.; and one foster brother, Allen LaCoste.
Visitation was held Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014, at Twin City Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. and resumed today, Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, at the funeral home at 8 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Juanita was laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
