MONROE MADISON SR.

Mr. Monroe Madison Sr., 66, a resident and native of Franklin, died Monday, April 27, 2015, at 2 a.m., at his residence following a short illness.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at New Mount Horeb Baptist Church, 3040 Irish Bend Road, Franklin.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with the Rev. James F. Otis officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery in the Oaklawn Community.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Carrie Freeman Madison of Franklin; three sons, Kevin Jones (his wife, Annette) of St. Augustine, FL, R.W. Augustine of Sioux City, IA and Monroe E. Madison of Lawrenceville, NJ; two daughters, Mrs. Roselyn D. Hamilton (her husband, Mitchell) of Austin, TX and Mrs. Chantell M. Poledore (her husband, Alvin Jr.) of Bronx, NY; three sisters, Mrs. Audrey Williams of Lake Charles, Mrs. Agnes Jones of Franklin and Mrs. Brenda Brent of Houston, TX; 10 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Mr. Madison was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister and two nephews.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
