James Leroy “Big Jim” Grogan Jr., 56, a native of Patterson and resident of Morgan City, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015, at Chateau Terrebonne Health Care in Houma.
Visitation will be observed Monday from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. at Morning Glory Ministries in Morgan City with Apostle Hendry A. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Home Industrial Cemetery in Patterson.
He is survived by a son, James Griffin of Patterson; mother, Hattie Mae Wilson of Patterson; five brothers, Ivory Wilson of Algiers, Gene Grogan of Dallas, Donald Thomas of Morgan City, Ron Thomas of Gonzales and Reginald Thomas of Houston; five sisters, Janet G. Taylor of Walls, Mississippi, Sandra Grogan of Patterson, Derise Miller of Charleston, South Carolina, Charlita Mosely of Baton Rouge and Donnette Webber of Broussard; and a host nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.
