ELENA RAMIREZ

Elena I. Ramirez, 83, a resident of Bayou Vista, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015, at Audubon Health & Rehab in Thibodaux.
Elena was born on Aug. 13, 1932, in Tampico, Mexico, the daughter of Eduardo Izaguirre and Epifania Martinez.
Elena was a wonderful cook and cooked for Tampico’s Mexican Restaurant in Bayou Vista for 35 years.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by four daughters, Elsa Romo of Bayou Vista, Nora Ramirez of Raceland, Maria Danos and husband, Troy, of Raceland, and Claudia Ramirez of Bayou Vista; three grandsons, Francisco Romo and wife, Shawnie, Devin Fields and wife, Toshi, and Dexter Fields; three granddaughters, Cassandra Romo, Jaclyn Fields and Emily Borel; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Carmen Izaguirre; and one brother, Constancio Izaguirre.
Elena was preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Ramirez; parents, Eduardo and Epifania Izaguirre; three sisters; and one brother.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, at Twin City Funeral Home and will resume at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, with funeral services beginning at 11 a.m.
Following services, Elena will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
