DORIS HELEN BARRIOS ROCK

Doris Helen Barrios Rock, a native Labadieville and resident of Bayou Vista, passed away Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, in Patterson at the age of 89.
Doris was an exceptional mother and grandmother. She was never one to complain about life situations and had a unique knack for finding the good in everyone and everything. She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church and a longtime member of The Ladies Altar Society. She was a lady of great faith and prayed the rosary faithfully every day at her kitchen table, making sure to include every member of her family in her prayers.
Doris leaves behind to cherish her memories her children, Alton Rock Jr. and wife, Cheryl, of Slidell, Robert Rock and wife, Sally, of Houma, Janet Stewart and husband, Don, of Mize Mississippi, Barry Rock and wife, Laurie, of Spring, Texas, and Brenda Holeman and husband, Ron, of Berwick; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Alton Rock Sr.; and her parents, Leo and Jeanette Barrios.
A time of remembrance and reflection will be observed today, Monday Oct. 12, 2015, at Hargrave Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary services at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, at Hargrave Funeral Home from 8 a.m. until dismissal. A mass of Christian burial will be will be conducted at St. Bernadette Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Doris will be laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery.
