BERNIE JOSEPH WILLIAMS
November 15, 1962 -October 29, 2015
Bernie Joseph Williams, a native of Morgan City, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, at the age of 52.
Bernie is survived by his mother, Evelyn Williams; his sister, Vicki Williams; two children, Christina Williams and Joseph Williams; two aunts, Nancy Solar and Lana Sikes; one nephew, Corbert Dinger Jr.; two nieces, Destiny Dinger and Betheny Mecom; one great-nephew; and three great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Williams Jr.; his twin brother, Victor Williams III; his paternal grandparents, Victor and Lillian Williams; and his maternal grandparents, Bernie and Grace Mayon.
Bernie worked as a boat captain, navigating local waters and overseas. An excellent artist, he also enjoyed going hunting and fishing with his Pawpaw Bernie. In his youth, Bernie and his twin brother, Victor, were known as social butterflies. The Williams twins were outgoing, popular, and the life of the party. Bernie will be deeply missed.
The family requests that visitation be observed Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, from 10 a.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home. Due to the inclement weather over the weekend, graveside services will be held Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the Morgan City Cemetery.
The family would like to express their appreciation and thanks to David Solar for being an important part of Bernie’s life and assisting the family with his needs.
