MRS. BESSIE MAE JOHNSON STACKHOUSE

Mrs. Bessie Mae Johnson Stackhouse, 88, a resident and native of Berwick, died Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at 2:55 p.m., at her residence following a short illness.
Visitations will be Thursday, Nov. 19, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Little Zion Baptist Church, 2746 Sixth St. in Berwick.
Burial rites will be read Thursday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with the Rev. W.J. Otis Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Berwick Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Stackhouse of Berwick; one son, Ernest Stackhouse Sr. (his wife, Glenda) of Patterson; and two daughters, Ms. Diane S. Roy of New Orleans and Mrs. Phyllis S. Glover (her husband, Matthew), of Morgan City; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Mrs. Stackhouse was preceded in death by her parents, one son, five brothers and four sisters.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
