WILLIE RUTH BROUSSARD UZÉ

Private memorial services will be held at a later date for Willie Ruth Broussard Uzé, who passed away at the age of 78 on Thursday, December 24, 2015, just two days shy of her birthday.
Mrs. Uzé was a native of Kaplan and a 61½ year resident of Franklin. She was an LPN who dedicated herself to the care of others. She started her nursing career working at the old St. Anne’s Clinic and then went on to work at Franklin Foundation Hospital. After leaving the hospital she went to work for Dr. Neville Anthony and then Dr. Roland Degeyter. She retired in 1996 following a career that spanned 24 years.
Survivors include her husband of 61 1/2 years, Lionel Anthony Uzé of Franklin; two children, Anne Michelle Uzé McKaskle of Franklin and Barry A. Uzé and his wife, Corrie, of Baldwin; five grandchildren, Anthony McKaskle, Jennifer McKaskle, Charles Uzé, Zachary Uzé and John Andrew Uzé; two great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Samantha; one sister, Lucy LeLeux of Kaplan; as well as one niece, Sandy Simon of Kaplan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Valery and Helen Trahan Broussard; one granddaughter, Genevieve Lucille Uzé; and one niece, Patricia Adams.
