PATRICIA 'PAT' DUPLANTIS

October 1, 1951- January 12, 2016
Patricia “Pat” Duplantis, 64, a lifelong resident of Morgan City, was called home to the Lord today, Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, at Teche Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Patricia was born Oct. 1, 1951, in Morgan City, the daughter of Edwin and Lucille Keller Reid.
A loving wife, devoted mother, terrific grandmother, and sister, Pat left us after a hard-fought battle with ALS for five years.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 44 years, Daniel Duplantis of Morgan City; three children, Sarah Duplantis Scott and husband Jon, Benjamin John Duplantis, and Shannon Duplantis Chaisson and husband Nolan, all of Morgan City; five grandchildren, Hunter Joseph Bella, Olivia Ann Chaisson, Isabel Marie Chaisson, Harlee Grace Scott, and Kinsley Jade Duplantis; two brothers, Michael Reid and wife Georgia, and Scott Reid, both of Morgan City; and three sisters, Elizabeth “Becky” Aucoin and husband Andy of Bayou L’Ourse, Geraldine “Geri” Hebert and husband Sidney of Berwick, and Shelley Berthold and husband Steve of Panama City, Florida. Pat is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Reid and Lucille Keller Reid.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, at Twin City Funeral Home with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. The visitation will resume at 9 a.m. until Mass time on Thursday at Sacred Heart Church. Following Mass, Patricia will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery Mausoleum.
