IZOLA ADELE KEARNEY COOPER

Izola Adele Kearney Cooper, 95, a resident of Franklin and native of Franklinton, NC, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 4 p.m., at Franklin Foundation Hospital.
Mrs. Cooper was a retired educator and member of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
Visitation will be observed on Wednesday, March 30, from 4 p.m. until funeral services at 7 p.m., at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Franklin. The Rev. Ronald Southall will officiate and the Dr. Jawanza K. Colvin will serve as the Eulogist. Mrs. Cooper will be laid to rest in the Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA with her husband, the late William Mural Cooper, United States Navy.
Memories of Izola will forever remain in the hearts of her daughter, Rose Susan E. Dorsey and her husband, Daniel C. Ofili of Franklin; two sisters-in-law, Peggie M. Kearney of Franklinton, NC and Rose P. Kearney of Cincinnati, OH; two nieces, Helen K. Thobhani of Denver, CO and Marie S. Morris of Washington, DC; five nephews, Reginald I. Kearney of MD, Roderick E. Kearney of Spring Hope, NC, James E. Kearney Jr. of Washington, DC, Leonard P. Smith Jr. of Richmond, VA and Eric H. Kearney of Cincinnati, OH; a godchild, Jacqueline Manning of Washington, DC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
lzola was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Cooper; her parents, William R. Kearney and Susan Anna Dunstun; four brothers, James E. Kearney Sr., Plummer E. Kearney, Walter S. Kearney and Jasper W. Kearney; and three sisters, Flora E. Kearney, Zenobia A. Kearney and Baby Girl Kearney.
