Morgan City woman charged with assault

A 31-year-old Morgan City woman was charged with assault after making threats toward a man Monday, Morgan City Police Chief James Blair said in a news release.
—Patsy Durocher, 31, of Missouri Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 12:57 p.m. Monday on the charge of simple assault.
Officers responded to the area of Fourth Street and Brashear Avenue to meet an individual to gather property from another location. Officers arrived and spoke to the victim who wanted to retrieve his property at a home on Missouri Street. Once at the home, Durocher made threats toward the victim. The victim indicated to officers that he wanted to file charges. Durocher was jailed.
Blair reported the following arrest:
—Heather V. Welch, 24, of Jones Street in Morgan City, at 7:47 p.m. Monday on the charge of theft of goods - value $28.17.
Officers responded to a local retail store on La. 182 East in regards to a shoplifter. Management witnessed Welch conceal items in her purse without paying for them. Welch gave officers consent to search her purse and located items belonging to the store. Welch was jailed.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrest in east St. Mary Parish:
—William Gober Jr., 60, of the 1000 block of Michael Drive in Patterson, at 7:03 p.m. Monday on the charge of criminal trespass.
A deputy responded to a complaint of trespassing on Victoria Riverside Road near the Jennings Bridge in the Patterson area. The deputy found Gober inside a camping tent. Gober was advised to leave the area and was issued a summons to appear in court July 25.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrests:
—Jeffery Jones, 54, of the 1500 block of Cherry Street in Patterson, at 12:59 p.m. Monday on the charge of theft of a bicycle. Jones was jailed on $337 bail.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrest relating to east St. Mary Parish:
—Wibray Dautain, 21, of Ferret Street in Morgan City, at 7:13 p.m. Monday on a warrant charging him with principal to theft by shoplifting. The warrant was dated March 24. Officers responded to a supermarket on La. 3211, in reference to a shoplifting.
Dautain was identified as the suspect that allegedly drove to the supermarket and waited in the vehicle for the other suspects to come out with $260.25 worth of alcohol. More arrests are expected pending investigation, McGuire said. Dautain booked and released on $500 bail.
