ALBERTA S. GIBSON

Alberta S. Gibson, 88, a native and resident of Franklin, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 7:35 a.m., at her residence.
Visitation will be observed on Thursday, April 21, at Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church in Franklin, from 10 a.m. until funeral services at 12 noon. The Rev. Allen Randle will officiate the services. Burial will follow funeral services in the St. John Cemetery-Pecot Street in Franklin.
“Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace; where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy.” Mrs. Gibson was a musician, who had played for a number of churches in the St. Mary Parish area.
Memories of Alberta will forever remain in the hearts of her two sons, Rogers T. (Juanita) Gibson of Fayetteville, GA; and Gregory M. (Suella) Gibson of Franklin; one brother, Clemet Williams of St. Joseph; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister.
