Annie B. Blackburn

Annie B. Blackburn, 89, a native of Franklin and a resident of Verdunville, passed away Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at 8:49 a.m. at Franklin Foundation Hospital.
Visitation will be held Saturday at Little Zion Baptist Church in Franklin (Verdunville) from 10 a.m. until funeral services at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Arnold Ray Joseph officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Zion Church Cemetery.
She is survived by three sons, the Rev. Henry Harris of Verdunville, and Benny Blackburn Jr. and Herbert Blackburn, both of Patterson; nine daughters, Geraldine Blackburn of Verdunville, Arlene Lightfoot of Morgan City, Eliza Fontenot, Sandra Randle, Alberta Blackburn, Dianne Melton, Cynthia Richardson and Debra Dennis, all of Verdunville, and Christine Taylor of Franklin; two sister, Roxie Williams of Verdunville and Estelle Charles of Jeanerette; 40 grandchildren; 108 great-grandchildren; 29 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a son-in-law.
