BARBARA RAE REEVES

Barbara Rae Reeves, 71, a native of Morton, Mississippi, and resident of Port Barre, Louisiana, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015, in Port Barre.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Follmer and his wife, Shera, of Monterey, Louisiana; three daughters, Tammy Stevens and her husband, Darrel, of Morgan City, Louisiana, Melanie Lucas and her husband, Doug, of Ball, Louisiana, and Jodie Newman and her husband, Allen, of Natchez, Mississippi; her soulmate and loving companion, Dan Edwards of Port Barre; her grandchildren, Chad Holloway and wife Joni, Chris Waltman, Sommer Simmons and husband D.J., Dusty Follmer, Garrett Thorpe, and A.J. Follmer; six great-grandchildren; her sister, Evelyn Maples of Natchez, Mississippi; and a special niece, Laura “Sissy” Reeves.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jeff Ray Reeves; mother, Eunice Kelly Reeves; and a brother, Edward Reeves.
The family will receive friends at Young’s Funeral Home, Ferriday, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. today, Friday, Oct. 30, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery, Sicily Island.
Pallbearers will be Chad Holloway, Chris Waltman, Garrett Thorpe, D.J. Simmons, Dusty Follmer and Buddy Maples.
