BESSIE MAE JOHNSON STACKHOUSE

Bessie Mae Johnson Stackhouse, 88, a native and resident of Berwick, passed away Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at her residence.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Stackhouse of Berwick; one son, Ernest Stackhouse Sr. of Patterson; two daughters, Diane S. Roy of New Orleans and Phyllis S. Glover of Morgan City; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, five brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be observed from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday at Little Zion Baptist Church in Berwick.
Burial rites will be read at the church at 11 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. W.J. Otis Jr. officiating. Interment to follow in the Berwick Cemetery.
Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of arrangements.
