BETTY HAWKINS PICARD

Betty Hawkins Picard, a native of Commerce, TX and a resident of Jeanerette, passed away at the age of 60 on Sunday, November 8, 2015, at her home in Sorrel.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Servicing as honorary pallbearers are John Woods, Carl Woods, Benjamin Picard, William Picard, Oscar Stewart, Baylee Woods, Patrick “PJ” James and Tommy Savoie.
Survivors include three sons, John (James Dale Hawkins) Woods; Carl (Carlyn David Hawkins) Woods; and Tony (Tony Hawkins) Thibodeaux; a daughter, Jennifer (Jen Herring) Jumper; seven grandchildren, Baylee Woods, Aiden Woods, William Woods, Brenden Woods, Harlan Woods, Elizabeth “Sissy” Thibodeaux and Tony “Bubba” Thibodeaux; one great grandson, Brantley Thibodeaux; and her mother, Marieda Heron Hawkins Jobe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Picard Jr.; her father, Walter Hawkins; her twin brother, Lobby Lon Hawkins; and her father and mother-in-law, Milton Picard Sr. and Marguerite Derouen Picard.
