BEULA MAE FONTENOT DESHOTEL

Funeral services celebrating the life of Beula Mae Fontenot Deshotel will be held Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Bayou Vista during a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian burial. She will be laid to rest in Perpetual Park Cemetery in Patterson. The Rev. William Rogalla will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services.
The family will receive friends at Ibert’s Mortuary in Patterson on Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. Visiting hours will resume at Ibert’s Saturday at 9 a.m. until time of dismissal at 12:30 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Romero, Brett Romero, Nicholas Provost, Noah Provost, Todd Fontenot, Chad Fontenot, and Morgan Jo Romero.
Beula was born in Duralde, Louisiana, on Oct. 24, 1934, the only child of the late Antile and Lelma Fontenot. She was a 50-year resident of Bayou Vista, where she passed away at the age of 81 on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, at her home.
Survivors include three daughters, Janice D. Gary and her husband Clebert, Marilyn Sue Pate and her husband Mike, and Phyllis Deshotel; two grandsons, Blake Romero and his wife, Jennifer, and Nicholas Provost and his fiancée, Gracie Billiot, and son; and three great-grandchildren, Morgan Jo Romero, Brett Romero, and Noah Provost.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen B. Deshotel.
