CHARLETTE MAE AMADOR TAYLOR

September 27, 1939 - November 13, 2015
Charlette Mae Amador Taylor, age 76, of Rockwall, Texas, passed away Nov. 13, 2015. She was born Sept. 27, 1939, in Morgan City, Louisiana, to Charles Leo Amador Sr. and Lillie Mae (Gillen) Amador.
A resident of Rockwall for 11 years, Charlette attended the Methodist church and was previously a member of Pharr Chapel United Methodist Church in Morgan City.
Charlette loved her family and was a great caretaker and homemaker. She enjoyed decorating her home with beautiful things, especially during the holidays. She often attended open houses to see how new things were built. Charlette also enjoyed volunteering at her son’s school and teaching Sunday School at her church. She touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.
Charlette is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Taylor; a son, Bill Taylor and wife Jennifer; two grandchildren, Kate Taylor and Carson Taylor; two sisters, Jackie Shely and husband George, and Ina Clarke and husband Steve; two brothers, Charles Leo Amador Jr. and wife Shirlene, and John R. Amador Sr. and wife Diane; and a brother-in-law, John Taylor and wife Sarah.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and Bill’s parents, Floyd and Mildred Taylor.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at Pharr Chapel United Methodist Church in Morgan City.
