DONALD G. BENNETT

Donald G. Bennett Sr., 77, a native and a resident of Patterson, Louisiana, passed away at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015, at the Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral at New Salem Baptist Church in Patterson. Burial will follow the funeral in the Home Industrial Cemetery in Patterson. The Rev. Samuel Calhoun will officiate..
He is survived by his wife, Ella Mae Triggs-Bennett of Patterson; four sons, Donald Bennett Jr., Ronald (Patricia) Bennett and Darrell (Sheena) Roberson, and Roderick Bennett all of Patterson; three daughters, Susan Bennett (Ripton Lindsay), Mrs. Kevin (Angela) Johnson and Heza Griffin Piggott, all of Patterson; a brother, Bertrand Bennett of Patterson; three sisters, Gracie B. Jennings and Frankie Mae Ladday, both of Patterson, and Alberta Richards of Katy, Texas; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in Prein death by his parents; a sister, and three brothers.
Jones Funeral Home of Morgan City, Franklin, Jeanerette and Houma is in charge of arrangements.
