ELVINA ‘BESSIE’ MOSELY

Mrs. Elvina “Bessie” Mosely, 87, a resident and native of Gibson, died Sunday, Nov. 1, at 12:45 a.m., at her daughter’s house in Patterson.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m., at St. James Baptist Church, 6319 South Bayou Black Drive in Gibson.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with the Rev. Roland Bradly and the Rev. Aaron Cotton officiating. Interment will follow in the St. James Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Pastor Doreen Marie Francis of Patterson; one brother, Percy Smith (wife, Donna) of Schriever; two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Coleman and Mrs. Gloria Young, both of Houma; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Michelle Mosely of Houma; 19 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Mrs. Mosely was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers, two sisters, five sons, two daughters and one grandson.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
