ELVINA 'BESSIE' MOODY

Elvina “Bessie” Mosely, 87, a native and resident of Gibson, died at 12:45 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, in Patterson.
She is survived by one daughter, Pastor Doreen Francis of Patterson; one brother, Percy Smith of Schriever; two sisters, Marie Coleman and Gloria Young, both of Houma; one daughter-in-law; 19 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers, two sisters, five sons, two daughters and one grandson.
Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at St. James Baptist Church, 6319 South Bayou Black Dr., in Gibson. Burial rites will be read at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Revs. Roland Bradley and Aaron Cotton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
