EMMA LEE CHARLES

Emma Lee Charles, 72, a resident of Franklin and a native of Palmetto, La., died Friday, Sept. 4, 2015 at 6:08 p.m. at Franklin Foundation Hospital following a short illness.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeral services at 1 p.m., both at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 307 Second St., Franklin.
Interment will follow in the St. John Cemetery, Pecot Street, Franklin.
She is survived by her husband, Moses Lee Charles Sr.; a son, Moses Lee Charles Jr. of Franklin; four daughters, Melissa Ann Joseph, Tara Ann Proctor, Denise Michelle Charles, Priscilla Fay Harrison, all of Franklin; a brother, Nelson Joseph of Beaumont, Texas; a sister, Lucy Mae Joseph of Beaumont, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, six sisters and one great grandson.
Rev. Noah Smith will officiate.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of arrangements.
