ENOLA WASHINGTON SILAS

Funeral services will be held for Enola Washington Silas on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at 1 p.m., at Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Baldwin. She will be buried in Special Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Baldwin. Overseer Ricky Lemon of Radical Praise Ministries in Jeanerette will officiate the service.
Enola Silas, a resident of Jeanerette, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Iberia Medical Center. She was 84 years old.
Visitation will be observed Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Greater New Hope Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memories are four sons, Claroid Washington, Darrell Lemon, Ricky Lemon and Leon Silas Jr.; 12 daughters, Esther Green, Lois Gabriel, Martha Miller, Marie Lemon, Sarah Lemon Lewis, Sarah Polk, Mary Lemon, Anna Bell Sam, Renee Silas, Maydell Johnlewis, Jackie Silas and Cindy Spain; two brothers, Joe Washington Jr. and Alfred Washington; and a host of grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Silas Sr.; one son; parents, Joe Washington Sr. and Martha Lewis Washington; one brother, Felton Washington; and two sisters, Bonnie Bell Washington and Mary Lee Washington.
