Eric Swanson

Eric Swanson, a native of Dallas and a longtime resident of Morgan City, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015, at his residence at the age of 37.
Eric is survived by his wife of 20 years, Christina Swanson; son, Dillon Swanson; daughters, Amber and Ashley Swanson; father and stepmother, Ralph and Velma Patterson; stepfather, Louis Vavara; brothers, Dwayne Dupre and wife, Cherie, and Christopher Patterson; sister, Nicole Atkinson and husband, Kord; nieces, Samantha and Aimee; grandmothers, Lois Jones and Bessie Vavara; and father- and mother-in-law, Rick and Janet Hefner.
Eric was preceded in death by his mother, Joann Swanson Vavara; grandfathers, Ray Swanson and Ralph Patterson Sr.; and grandmother, Leddy Louis.
To defray funeral cost, donations can be made and will be greatly appreciated.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
