ESTHER LANDRY MARINO

August 15, 1926- March 23, 2016
Esther Landry Marino, 89, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Morgan City Health Care Center.
She was born in Bayou L’Ourse on Aug. 15, 1926, the daughter of Cleopha and Agatha Landry.
Esther was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She and the late Charles Marino Sr. were the former owners of MC Restaurant and Charlie’s Snack Bar.
She is sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her three children, Charles J. Marino Jr. and wife, Felicia, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Johnny A. Marino and wife, Ellen, of Mandeville, and Hope Johnson and husband, David, of Berwick; seven grandchildren, Leslie Davis, Lara Kronenfeld, Katherine Hoffman, Stephanie Yamkovenko, Kevin Marino, Mallory Fuhrer and Paige Johnson; seven great-grandchildren, Miles Davis, Emily Davis, Luke Kronenfeld, Grady Hoffman, Reese Hoffman, Blakely Fuhrer and Miller Fuhrer; a sister, Betty Rink and husband, James, of Morgan City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Marino Sr.; her parents, Cleopha and Agatha Landry; three brothers, Emmette Landry, Percy Landry and Elmore Landry; and four sisters, Zoe Landry, Gladys Giroir, Ruby Pete and Elma Pennison.
Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Monday, March 28, 2016, from 9 a.m. until Mass. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Esther will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Mausoleum following Mass.
