HERMAN ‘BAY BOY’ CONNER

Mr. Herman “Bay Boy,” Conner, 98, a resident of Sorrell and native of Jeanerette, died Monday, November 30, 2015, at 4:10 a.m., at Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia following a short illness.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, Dec. 12, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Otis Mortuary, Inc.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at the mortuary, with the Rev. Charles Jolivette officiating. Interment will follow in the Sorrell Community Cemetery on Hwy. 318 in Sorrell.
Survivors include three sons, Herman Bernard Lockett, O’Quinn Clodell Lockett, both of Jeanerette, and LaQuince D.D. Lockett of Cottonport, LA; three daughters, Ms. Zader Conner Gardon of Houston, TX, Ms. LaTonya Shakeitha Lockett of Jeanerette and Mrs. Carla Richard of Leesville; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Mr. Conner was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, five brothers and two sisters.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
