JAMES ELMO TARVER

Mr. James Elmo Tarver, a resident of Kentwood, LA, died at 11:09 a.m., on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb, MS. He was born September 7, 1946 in Independence, LA and was 69 years of age. He was a graduate of Kentwood High School and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Cambre Tarver; daughter, Tricia Ann Tarver Roberts; son, John Eric Tarver; raised by loving aunt, Pearline Bryant Smith; sister, Bernice Bryant Fedele; and six grandchildren, Angelica Tarver, Reanne Roberts and Allie, Landon, Laikyn and Cameron Warner.
Mr. Tarver was preceded in death by his father, Leon “T.J.” Tarver.
Visitation will be held at St. Helena Catholic Church Hall in Amite, LA from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., with Funeral Mass at St. Helena Catholic Church in Amite at 12 Noon on Wednesday, January 27, 2016. Services will be conducted by Fr. Mark Beard.
